4.5 litres water
500ml white sugar
30g root ginger, crushed
15ml active dry yeast
- Boil the water in a pot on the stove.
- Add the ginger and sugar.
- Remove from the stove and cool till lukewarm.
- Add the yeast and cover for 1 - 2 days.
- Strain the ginger beer and bottle in sterilised bottles and seal.
- Refrigerate and serve chilled, will keep in the fridge for a week.
